Amazon’s annual Prime Day super-sale has come and gone, and most of us shoppers are probably still waiting on delivery for some of our items. While we’re waiting, I figured we could discuss what Prime Day deals we were able to get!
This year, Amazon offered many of it’s self-branded tech products at a substantial savings. Amazon Alexa items were a hot ticket, with Echo and Tap devices on sale. Other deals included Kindles, Fire Tablets, Fire TV Stick, and even an Amazon exclusive Element brand 4K ultra-high-definition LED TV. The TVs went especially quick, selling out before I even had a chance to check out the listing and description.
I was able to get a Kindle Paperwhite for $89.99. Amazon’s everyday price on this product is $119.99, so I saved $30. I also ordered a Fire 7 tablet for $29.99, a $20 savings from it’s original price of $49.99.
I’ve only played with the Kindle Paperwhite for a short time so I’m not sure about the overall experience, but it’s a massive improvement over my 2nd generation Kindle. Scroll down and you’ll be able to read my initial thoughts on the Kindle Paperwhite.
The Fire 7 tablet is still in transit, but should be arriving tonight. I’ve never used a Fire device before, so I wonder how the operating system will function compared to the iPad and Android tablets like the Samsung Tab. I’m not expecting much for $29.99, but I probably won’t use it for anything more strenuous than looking up recipes in the kitchen and watching Youtube videos.
